Accessibility
Last updated: 6 July 2026
We want Memory Robin to be usable and welcoming for everyone, including people who are exhausted, grieving, or using assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought.
Built-in accessibility tools
Every page has an accessibility panel, opened from the button in the bottom-right corner. It lets you:
- Increase the text size (A, A+, A++)
- Switch to a high-contrast colour scheme
- Switch to a more readable font
- Reset everything back to the default
Your choices are remembered in your browser between visits, so you only need to set them once.
How we design
- Clear, plain language written for people under stress
- Colours and text chosen for readable contrast, and never pure black on pure white
- Keyboard-navigable links and controls, with visible focus
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images
- Layouts that reflow and remain usable on any screen size
Standards
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as we build. We know we will not be perfect, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work.
